Fiery Sesame Chicken

A sensational fakeaway option that is ready in 15 minutes. Golden, crispy chicken breast tossed in a nutty and slightly spicy, sticky sesame sauce. Outrageously good.

Mix together the sauce ingredients in a medium bowl.
Add the chicken breast, soy sauce, salt, pepper and egg white to a large bowl and mix until combined. Add the cornflour and water and mix again until combined.
Heat the oil in a pan, until very hot, then cook the chicken 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy all over, then remove form the pan.
Clean the pan out with a kitchen towel, then add the sauce to the pan and cook on medium heat until simmering. Add the crispy chicken to the sauce and toss until coated in the sauce. Add the sesame oil, red chilli and sesame seeds and mix until combined.

For the sauce:

  • Tbsp of soy sauce.
  • Tbsp sweet chilli sauce.
  • Tbsp of ketchup.
  • Tbsp of sriracha.
  • Tbsp of rice wine vinegar.
  • Tbsp of honey.

  • 300g of chicken breast - diced into small chunks.
  • Tbsp of soy sauce.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste.
  • 1 egg white.
  • 3 tbsp of cornflour.
  • 25ml of cold water, to loosen mixture.
  • Tbsp of groundnut oil.
  • Tbsp of sesame oil.
  • 1 red chilli - deseeded and finely chopped.
  • Tbsp of sesame seeds, to garnish.
  • 1 spring onion - thinly sliced, to garnish.
