Chocolate Orange Brownies

Preheat your oven to 175°C/ 350°F.
Melt your dark orange chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
Then, in a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and maple syrup until your mixture have doubled in size (this will take a while by hand, if you have an electric whisk, I would recommend using one).
Whisk in your melted dark chocolate to your egg mixture.
Sift your almond flour and cacao powder into your mixture, add your vanilla flavour drops, sea salt and orange zest and mix well. Finally mix your coconut oil into your mixture.
Transfer your brownie mixture to a lined baking 8x8” baking tray. flatten the top and shake out any bumps.
Bake for 18 mins. Once baked, remove from oven, leave to cool and slice into 16 bites.

  • 125g of high quality dark orange chocolate, plus a couple squares. for choc chips.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 100g of maple syrup.
  • 100g of almond flour.
  • 30g of cacao powder.
  • A squirt of vanilla extract.
  • A pinch of sea salt.
  • Zest of one orange.
  • 50g of coconut oil - melted.
