Apple Pie Baked Oats

A delicious and healthy way to satisfy your sweet tooth, our Apple Pie Baked Oats provide you with the warmth and comfort of a traditional apple pie, tangy sweet apples, a hint of cinnamon, all topped off with chewy oats.

Preheat oven to 180°C/ 360°F.
Firstly, peel and core apples, then dice into small chunks. Transfer apples to a medium saucepan, add water, maple syrup and cinnamon and cook on a low-medium heat for 10-15 mins, until liquid reduces and apples are soft.
In a large mixing bowl ,combine rolled oats, vanilla protein, baking powder and salt. Then stir in milk and mix until combined.
Once apples are cooked, divide between 4 oven-proof ramekins, then top with oat mixture. Add three apple slices to top of oats, a sprinkle of brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
If you are baking all of your baked oats straight away, then place ramekins on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 mins. Alternatively, you could batch make these baked oats but then cook individually.

For the Cinnamon Apples:

  • 4 cooking apples, such as Granny Smith.
  • A splash of water.
  • 2 tbsp of maple syrup.
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon.
  • Thin apple slices, to top.
  • Brown sugar, for sprinkling.
  • Cinnamon, for dusting.

For the Oats:

  • 200g of rolled oats.
  • 2 scoops of vanilla whey protein.
  • Tsp of baking powder.
  • 1/4 tsp of salt.
  • 300ml of milk.
